Development team Amplitude Studios previously were responsible for the Endless Space series, and have said that this was the game they had “always been dreaming to do.” It had hoped to release in 2020 but was pushed back to this year. Sega first revealed Humankind back at Gamescom in 2019. On top of all this, you’ll also be able to play with up to 9 other civs in the game’s multiplayer mode. There’ll be 150 potential narrative choices to make as leader too to make your civilization even more unique. They even react to your in-game choices with a meaty 10,000 voiced lines. You’ll be represented by your own customisable avatar too, with over 122 different costumes to pick from. You’ll explore 10 different biomes with 45 different species of animals and lead your people from ancient times to the Modern Era, brokering and breaking diplomacies with other civs as you go. This includes 129 different units and 93 technologies and promises a whopping 1,302,198 potentially unique civilizations to use. The game allows you to make your own civilization made up of aspects of 60 historical cultures you can mix and match from. Historical strategy game Humankind has announced it’ll be available on Xbox Game Pass for PC alongside its regular PC and Stadia launch next week.
